The best way to learn successful beekeeping skills is through mentoring from experienced beekeepers. Without beekeeping mentorship, new beekeepers often experience avoidable challenges resulting in colony death. The Birds and Bees Mentoring Program provides learning opportunities for beekeepers of all experience levels. This is a season-long program that comes to you, working on your own hive. Learn to identify the queen, rate the health of the hive, overcome problems, mite control, and winterizing your hive. Mentorship generally runs April through September. We will visit your location to work with you every 4-5 weeks. Each visit generally lasts up to one hour based on individual needs. This is a HANDS-ON program that teaches you how to manage your hive.
